A group of 21 artists from the Albany, Oregon area joined together in 2013 to found Gallery Calapooia in downtown Albany. Since then, the membership has changed but the quality of artwork has not! We have a wide variety of artwork available: oil, acrylic and watercolor paintings; jewelry in multiple types and styles; pen and ink drawings; layered vinyl images; fabrics; collage; felted art; colored pencil; photography; glass; woodworking; and ceramics. Many of our artists offer both open edition and/or limited edition prints, in addition to original artworks. We also proudly offer a wide, ever-changing variety of artist-made greeting cards.
The gallery is located in the historic Flinn Block on 1st Avenue in Albany. The 19th century building has a beautiful cast iron facade and a spacious interior with old brick walls, making it a wonderful setting to spend some time appreciating fine art. Please make it a point to visit our gallery while you are in town! Not only do we feature different member artists on our “Featured Artist” panels, but we all rotate our positions within the gallery on a quarterly basis, ensuring that even frequent repeat visitors to the gallery will be greeted with new irresistible art.
